Everything you need to know about getting started with Vedic Meditation.
A Practice for Life as You Live It
Vedic Meditation is for people who want to meet life with more energy, clarity, adaptability, and ease. It is not about escaping your life or becoming better at sitting still. It is a practical way of giving the mind and body the deep rest they need to release accumulated stress.
The technique is effortless, mantra-based, and practiced for 20 minutes twice each day. Once you learn, you have a self-sufficient practice you can use wherever you are, supported by ongoing guidance, knowledge, and community.
How to Begin
-

Attend a free Intro Talk.
The first step is a free Vedic Meditation Intro Talk.
During this conversation, you will learn:
What Vedic Meditation is and how it differs from other forms of meditation
Why the technique is effortless rather than concentration-based
What happens during the Four-Day Course
What you can expect from a regular practice
How tuition and payment options work
You will also have an opportunity to ask questions. The Intro Talk is free, and there is no obligation to enroll in a course afterward.
-

Apply and learn over four consecutive days.
If Vedic Meditation feels like the right practice for you, complete a short course application and review the sliding-scale tuition and payment options.
The course consists of four in-person sessions on four consecutive days, each lasting approximately 90 minutes to two hours. You will receive personal instruction and a mantra selected specifically for you, along with everything you need to meditate independently and establish a daily practice.
Courses are offered in Pittsburgh and periodically in Ohio, West Virginia, and other locations by arrangement.
-

Continue with lifelong support.
The Four-Day Course is the beginning of the practice, not the end of your relationship with the teaching.
After completing the course, you will have ongoing access to:
Group meditations and knowledge meetings
Practice support
Retreats and advanced offerings
A community of Vedic meditators
You are welcome to participate as much or as little as is useful to you.

You do not need previous meditation experience, a quiet mind, or any special ability to begin. Curiosity is enough for an Intro Talk.
